Discovery Series: Intro to Hiking on National Trails Day

Get introduced to hiking on National Trails Day!
The Lake George Land Conservancy offers beginners a chance to try hiking for the first time at the Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob! Hikers will learn how to be a good caretaker of land in nature with an introduction to the best practices of outdoor recreation. The Leave No Trace Principles will be demonstrated when hiking to the gazebo at the Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob.
The Schumann Preserve is a moderate hike with good footing and a 600′ elevation gain. This hike roundtrip is 1.4 miles long.
