Walk on Water to Dome Island

The Lake George Land Conservancy invites all outdoorsman and adventurers to a unique, seasonal hike. This hike allows participants to trek across a mile of the frozen surface of Lake George to Dome Island, a protected nature preserve of the Lake George Land Conservancy. Sets of hikers will leave the main office of the Lake George Land Conservancy in Bolton Landing and walk down Rt. 9N to get to Lake George from Bixby Lane. From that point on, the hike begins!

Registration opens January 6th at 10 AM. Each hike is limited to 20 people. Dogs cannot join. Currently, there is a waiting list and booking is full.
The Walk on Water is highly dependent on stable ice conditions. The hikes can be cancelled if the weather or ice is deemed not safe.
